Grandson 2, who is 3 and a half, tells lots of stories. Many begin with "Last night, when I was a baby ..."
Me: You're really good at making up stories."
Him: "I don't even have to stand on my head or pour water on my head! I just know them already!"

David Macaulay's books - particularly his architectural series - have always fascinated children who love NF.

Think of an Eel shows how a NF text can be both factual and lyrical.

Both old now but timeless.
