Now I may just be a poor country lawyer, but where I come from, "collateral arrest" means "false imprisonment."

If we’re back to just shooting people, maybe we can stop pretending the death penalty is justice instead of just revenge and state-sanctioned murder.
South Carolina is planning to execute a prisoner on Friday evening with a firing squad, an extremely rare method that has not been used in the U.S. since 2010.

The last time such an execution took place was in 2010, in Utah. The inmate chose the method because of his concerns about lethal injection, according to his lawyer.
