College radio chief operator by day, music industry consultant by night & weekend. Caretaker of the two best dogs always.
If you’re in the Lexington, KY area and need something to do tonight come celebrate Twin Peaks & David Lynch with us at The Burl 🖤🤍❤️ combined with the weird weather, Ides of March, Mercury retrograde, and lingering full moon eclipse energy, sure to be an evening both wonderful & strange.

Happy Twin Peaks day to all who celebrate! Treat yourself to some damn fine coffee, a donut, or some cherry pie.

Cannot recommend Liz Pelly’s new book about Spotify enough. So important for people to realize that at the end of the day Spotify is a tech company, NOT a music company, and therefore music discovery and the livelihood of musicians has never truly been at the forefront of their operations.

If you live in central Kentucky and you love Twin Peaks and you love supporting local music then I hope to see you at The Burl on March 15th 🦉☕️🌲

This show has been a dream to put together and I’m feeling awfully lucky to have so many wonderful folks to collab with on it! #kentucky #twinpeaks

Working on my professional development plan for 2025 - anyone have good conference recommendations for music industry, marketing, and/or leadership (particularly women’s leadership)? I normally do SXSW but looking for something different this year.

Convincing myself that if I walk to my physical therapy appointment it’s like getting extra credit.

Also the weather is just lovely this morning.

Can’t stop thinking about how my favorite local antique/vintage/thrift store was blasting the Pet Shop Boys discography earlier today. Honestly a perfect vibe for a Monday off.

Treated myself to a new tattoo yesterday 🖤 I always get nostalgic for dance this time of year so this is partially a nod to that, but also a reminder that I still deserve flowers today for simply making it through the performance that is life.

The only thing worse than starting your day with physical therapy is starting your day with physical therapy AND they’re playing Christmas music. 😭

Happy #spotifywrapped day to those who celebrate. Mine is not remotely shocking. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My favorite thing about working in college radio this time of year is how easy it is to get everyone in heated debates just by bringing up “top albums” lists. Like I truly love it. You learn a lot about people this way.

Yesterday was my sweet Luna girl’s birthday. She’s nine years old now and I’m forever thankful for the all love, loyalty, and companionship she’s brought into my life. Even on the toughest days she makes life worth living. 💜

Don’t buy from Amazon for Black Friday/Cyber Monday! Go support a locally owned shop in your city instead, and treat yourself to a cup of coffee from a local coffee shop while you’re at it too. Seems like money is the only thing that talks these days so use yours wisely.

One of my dogs doesn’t always close his eyelids fully when he’s asleep and it is WILD watching his eyeballs roll around in his head. Yes I’m overthinking eye anatomy now.

Alright y’all, after much deliberation I’ve decided I like the LinkedIn puzzles more than any of the NYT games. I look forward to them every single day. Especially Queens & Crossclimb.

The new Michael Kiwanuka album is gorgeous. It’s also produced by one of my favorite producers, Danger Mouse. Anyway, it’s called ‘Small Changes’ and if you need some music for the soul today you should give it a listen.

I’ve watched The Substance twice now and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it still. The way they captured the feeling of being a woman under today’s societal pressures… truly a horror film for the ages.

Picked up the second book in the Broken Earth trilogy today. Loved all the world-building and character development in the first book (‘The Fifth Season’) - looking forward to making a cup of coffee and starting in on this.

A new(ish) Lexington, KY psych band, Blonde Cauldron, last night at The Green Lantern. Proud of these guys (especially my wonderful partner Nolan who writes the songs and is guitar/vocals). This was their third show! #supportlocalmusic
