Good point! But yes, it's not like the drunk scene in Go West -- he's not foolish or being taken advantage of. I'm not saying he wouldn't react, just that he wouldn't blow his top like Laurel or Costello. He wouldn't be done in. Maybe he'd LOVE the peppers, wolf 'em down & ask for more (gesturally).

I think it could be funny, in comparison to others' reactions in the setup! Harpo would be impervious, you know? He wouldn't react to the heat the way Laurel or Costello (or any human!) would. Think of Groucho and Chico playing drunk in Go West, and how wrong that seems for a Marx Brother...

I'll bet Harpo would blithely consume a whole pile of hot peppers without breaking a sweat.
