ATTENTION, PEOPLE OF FREEDONIA! You still have two days to submit your recorded comments about DUCK SOUP for inclusion in our next episode. Ride like fury! If you run out of gas, get ethyl; if Ethel runs out, get Mabel! Here's Bob Gassel with all the details.
Calling for audio submissions to our upcoming Duck Soup re-dive. We want to hear your thoughts, nitpicks, and rants. Where does it rank for you among the brothers' films? Anything related to the movie is fair game. However, due to the number and length of submissions we've been getting recently, we need to tweak the guidelines a bit... 1) Please try and keep submissions to under three minutes. If you need extra time to make your point, that’s fine—but aim to keep it concise. 2) We also ask that, unless it directly connects to your point about the film, please skip the preamble about how you first discovered the Marxes. Those stories are great, but they eat up too much time. Don’t worry—we’ll dedicate a future episode just to your Marx origin tales. 3) Finally, try not to just list your favorite bits and scenes...they're pretty much the same for everyone and don't give us anything to respond to. As always, be aware that clips may be edited for clarity and to avoid repetition. You can send any audio or video format. The deadline is Friday, October 17, 2025.
