🤬 The FPV drone barely manages to hit the Russian Molniya drone, but in the end it captures a war crime by Putin's soldiers, a strike on a civilian vehicle and the deliberate killing of civilians in the Kramatorsk area of the Donetsk region.

I have covered presidential politics for 40 years. This was the most juvenile display by a President and Vice President I have ever seen. Other presidents treated their enemies with more respect. This is a low point and a dark day for the US. Totally embarrassing.

REMINDER: Those choosing to live in subsidized suburbs for a bigger house and yard are NOT also entitled to free-flow car traffic capacity (aka an “easy car commute”) into the city at the expense of the taxes, health, safety (hint: bike-lanes) & quality of life of city-dwellers.

As a long time lurker: Key to gainful lurking on new social network is to find good people to follow. For news, I'd start with Jesse Brown. Then go through his follow list and whatever names I recognize. (Repeat recursively to taste.)

Won't work on fcbk, their feed is junk regardless of effort.

Just a reminder that while some cities are still debating whether or not to transform a block or two of streets into places for people, this year Montreal transformed 11 such streets across 7 neighbourhoods, equalling 9+kms, from car spaces to people places.

And that means you don’t have to be a country negotiator—or a scientist, an activist, or anyone stereotypically responsible for advocating climate action—to make change happen.

You just have to be a human who calls this planet home, and wants a better future for everyone and everything they love.

If you haven’t seen this thread, please read it. If you aren’t sure, read it again anyway. If you haven’t shared it, please share it. It’s relevant to something really important that’s happening right now.
This is important.

Years ago, while I was advising the City of Sydney Australia on various things, there was an INFAMOUS day where a particularly bad state-level minister of roads was stuck in traffic and saw bike riders zooming by his limousine in a well-used, safe, protected bike-lane.

Well…
