It’s disheartening to see Teen Vogue dissolved into Vogue and its political team let go. For years, it was one of the few mainstream spaces that made room for honest, radical commentary on justice, inequality & the world we actually live in. I’m grateful it gave me a home for so many of my op-eds

685,000 NYPD stops on the predicate of collecting guns. Only 2% produced weapons. 85% of stops involved Black & Latino men. 3 terms with Bloomberg. Now these same wealthy New Yorkers insist that young & working class voters defer to the alleged “superior” judgment of the millionaires & billionaires.
The hundreds of thousands of Black & Latino men who were subjected to stop-and-frisk did not have the option to “leave NYC.” They endured the reign of Bloomberg - the beloved choice of elite New Yorkers - who even supported changing the law to give Bloomberg a 3rd term.

Why haven’t they revealed the identity of the man who stabbed 11 people in a Michigan Walmart? 6 people remain in critical condition and 5 in serious condition but authorities only revealed his age (42) and no motive even though he was captured alive.
