The message in the film,”The Life List” on Netflix continues to spin in my head. If someone you love is gone but left you a list for your life. What would be on that list? Would it be just one thing or a number of items? What if it dug deep into your soul to find your deepest desire?

I recently watched the Netflix movie “The Life List.” That is a great writing prompt for all writers, especially memoir. I had to watch it twice, wants to just take notes to respond to the themes of the movie. Amazing. #memoir #writing

Your monthly reminder:

Keep writing. When no one cares, persist. When things appear to be crumbling, keep at it. When it's difficult, push through. When you feel alone, listen to the stories in your blood. Just write. The world needs your stories.

Recently, I attended one of your online workshops. It was amazing. It really inspired me to dig deep deeper into my writing to pull my emotions up through the toenails.

Until abortion is legal in every state, lets require men to get a mandatory vasectomy until they are proven emotionally mature, financially responsible and ready to be a father.
Wait, what do you mean regulations on men's bodies make you uncomfortable?

Only one way— sit down with fingers on the keys. One word at a time.
I've got 3 books that I'd like to finish writing by the end of this year. Anyone think I can do it? 🤣🤣🤣

This is a great book about mothers and daughters. What I particularly like about this book is the style and structure as it captures memories.

My old Ball High teacher David Meischen talks about his new books, “Nopalito, Texas” and “Caliche Road Poems.” He was the faculty advisor to my high school newspaper and claims credit for my career. Who am I to argue?

“My mother got up out of her chair, proclaimed herself flabbergasted in this very brusque voice, and she put her hand on my shoulder. She said, ‘But you’re our David.’ That was life-saving.” David Meischen taught English at my high school and became a lifelong friend. He’s a published author now!
