WOW: In a special election for Kentucky State Senate District 37, Democrat Gary Clemons has won with a staggering 72.5% of the vote, defeating Republican Calvin Leach, who received 25%.

I remember when I was in graduate school, having Chinese colleagues refusing to comment about the Tiananmen Square situation for fear that their families would get harmed. I said that the beauty of the US is you could criticize the government meant with no repercussions. Not anymore!

Renaming the Department of Defense the Department of War is so foolish. I work for a defense contractor (not war contractor) and we literally have thousands of Department of Defense (DoD) specifications. The titles of these, and references to them in other speciations, would have to be changed.

The second amendment guarantees the right to a militia to guard against federal tyranny. But if a president can use that force against its own state, against the wishes of that state, then it is no militia at all and a clear violation of the second amendment.
