Dorset birder, patch watcher at Longham Lakes . Moth-er, interested in wild Orchids, bees and of course anything to do with nature.
It is a very interesting blog and some wonderful birds. I hope you will be doing something similar at the new place. As always, nice read how the birding is going.

@dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @paulupwey.bsky.social @narwhalsh.bsky.social And others.I have decided on a couple of rules for my challenge next year. 1.Enjoy the birds I do see and not worry about missing anything.
2.Not to chase after birds in the hand and released on the day.
3 Be relaxed about it

It is ok. I like all opinions as they help make and decide on ones decisions.

Paul, That's a good question, and my son asks the same and says, "Why not just enjoy the birds you do see?" I suppose it's a bit of a challenge and gets me to visit places I do not visit very often.

Think work will be my biggest hinderence, then perhaps family as they will mostly want me to take them somewhere when a good bird turns up.😀

That is a very good tally. Was that with visiting sites like Portland, Weymouth areas. Did you do some planning.
