New year, new me, same old thesis, same old desk. But you know what! We got bookshelves now! After 1.5 years of waiting! I can finally put my personal books on their own shelf above my desk!

I am so thrilled to have gotten my hands on a book that both privately interests me (roman bureaucracy was later inherited by the catholic church, religious bureaucracy fascinates me!) but also a book wherein Tolkien is referenced, not as an fantasy author, but as a scholar of celtic philology!

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the professor's passing, Norstedts (the Swedish publisher of Tolkien) has released this collection of essays by seven authors' reflections on his work. Really looking forward to reading illustrator Inger Edelfeldt's contribution. Her illustrations are pure magic!
