I love that it’s going on YouTube. The first standup of yours that I saw was the VH1 Fashion Awards segment from Allegedly on YT, when I was in college and I thought my English was pretty good -and rewatched it a dozen times to get every word because you talked a mile a minute 😄

I suspect one reason AI took over where MT did not is at least partly that MT was still done by the Language Service Provider, therefore still a service and still an expense, whereas AI can be done by the client directly, and companies love nothing more than cutting what they see as dependencies…

The wages for post-editing are way lower than for translation, and indeed now only one person works on the text instead of two. But what’s worse is that the editing pass too will go away as soon as companies feel the AI output is good enough
