About a year ago, I backed @brandonsanderson.com's Cosmere RPG, because I love the Stormlight Archives, RPGs, and painting miniatures.
And today stuff arrived! Cheer!
Now I just need more shelf space and time to paint a gazillion miniatures.

Come again? What are you trying to sell me?

Comments like these really warm my heart. People taking the time to praise me on my sharp analysis of gaming in the Philippines in a blog posts about...
A study of galactic rotation and the hypothesis our universe is inside a black hole.

Stupid spammers.

It's October 3rd, meaning that in my home town of Leiden we celebrate the end of the Spanish siege of the city in 1574.
So, fun fair time!
Note the stuffed toys at the shooting range, bottom right. Yes, those pink ones are what you think they are. It's the Netherlands.

Life is good if you’re a cat.

I still have a Facebook account for posting my blog posts and keeping in touch with a few old friends. I noticed a 'Meta AI' in my contact list, so I decided to block it.
And... apparently there are 10 of them.
I blocked all of them.

I had one Bretonnian Pegasus Knight that I painted years ago, and I finally finished two more!

There's an outline level button. Maybe that is at '1'? Then it only shows Heading 1.

The navigator works for me (see screenshot).
However, that does require you to set the styles on chapter headers. In the screenshot I made sure 'Chapter 1' had style 'Heading 1' and 'Stuff' had style 'Heading 2'. Setting the font/font size directly won't work.
Could that be the problem?

Got a newsletter in the mail starting with the statement from the screenshot.
What theory? Who thinks this?
_My_ theory is that letting an AI code whatever (vibe coding) and using that for IaC (setting up IT infrastructure) is an incredibly dumb idea and a huge security risk.

Finished painting this Bretonnian lord yesterday. Pretty happy with the result.

Behold, Shelob to Rivendell comes.

Finally, the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare arrived after spending an eternity in customs - urgh, Brexit...
Thank you for the acknowledgement and autograph @poopraven.bsky.social

My daughter forced me to replace her picture with this one.

I'm very proud of these Questing Knights (Warhammer miniatures from the Bretonnian army). Half of them I painted over a decade ago, the other half I finished yesterday.

Come on...

Ah, yes, that blog post is coming along nicely.

Our dishwasher broke down last week, which sucked. It was 14 years old, so it was going to happen at some point.
The new one projects the time left in the program on the floor.
Not very useful, but it's still cool and mesmerising!

My signed Grey Sister arrived!
Thank you again @marklawrenceauthor.bsky.social
Now I just have to wait for the copy of Red Sister I ordered to arrive as well.

Merry Christmas!

...now go put some books around that tree.

Yes, this is a cat.
And no, I didn’t fold him this way.

Finished painting this Warhammer miniature yesterday. I'm pretty happy with the result.
It's a Bretonnian knight on a hippogryph.

Here, a cute picture of my cat instead.

So, with the package I got last Friday, I finally have the full set of Warhammer Old World Rulebooks. For my Bretonnia army, anyway.
Now the next big question: to rebase or not to rebase my existing army.

The new Craertrrkk, named for the sound it makes when the autopilot crashes it into something.
