There are few faith groups that will take care of ALL persons, & many of the so-called christians have long lists of exclusions. Government services are the only way to reliably deliver care & support to all those in need.

Not strictly a clone but rather a copy, with improvements, This is an example of the early post-war 1950s Japanese economic recovery. A license agreement with Singer permitted the use of the basic model 15 design as a starting point for novel designs. These are well made & worth having.

I am facing a similar situation. Figured to try building a taller base (box) to accomodate an electric motor underneath, with a belt path similar to the treadle pattern so that the bobbin winder will work also. What do you think?

unusually expensive. In the electric motor or treadle power they are commonly available under $50. Is the hand crank attachment really worth the difference?

Kim set up a similar Miyata for me a few years back, & she has just changed the gearing to deal with my return to a very hilly location.
