My life is based on a true story. West Galway once, Waterford for a while, Dublin for decades. Today is my favourite day.
Sounds fascinating. Pricey, though, but so it goes.

Happy anniversary, Rónán. I found it a good place to work, too, though I was a late starter. (During my 33 years, I had only one awkward manager out of 19!)

In my young days, I used to hear sad old men in pubs boasting thst corporal punishment "never did me any harm".

That's a magnificent extra level to Arcadia, one of my favourite plays ever. Saw it in @gatetheatre.bsky.social many years ago. Time for a revival.

I feel very sad when I read of consultants abusing the "contract in" system, for example. The payment-equivalent they get for a day's cheating probably took weeks of effort by fundraisers.

And i see @davidcollard.bsky.social has, coincidentally, just posted a photo including an old ticket for music from the GPO.

Dublin's GPO has a lot of significance in Irish history, though occupation of Dublin Castle would have been wiser than occupying a post office. It still functions as a post office and also houses a museum.

Couldn't agree more. (And it was great to find we could watch it all, without ads.)

I noticed Ocho, in Ghost Mountain, is also breaking-in boots, though gaglessly.

I knew you were bound for greater things on hearing that. (I used to read chunks of it back then and I liked the way it was upfront about its ideology, making it easy to distinguish fact from opinion.)

Usen't you listen to the audio version of The Economist a few decades ago, Rónán? (My first use of "Usen't" in a few decades.)

Congrats, Jackie.
