This highlights a significant problem with Labour.

They govern like a party with a majority of 2-10 MPs, as opposed to a party with the 169 seat majority that they actually have.

They won’t bother.

Huge chunks of the British media simply aren’t interested in holding Nigel Farage to account.

They all went to the same schools. He’s one of them.

Looking forward to the newspaper reviews on the BBC where they balance the Mail opinion that immigrants should be gassed with the Telegraph opinion that immigrants should be shot.

Don’t worry, everyone.

Lisa Nandy has been fully informed of this and has already drawn up a plan to do precisely nothing about it.

Dear Reader - please don't live a life as grey as this person's.

You say that, but a friend with his white Californian wife were put through the wringer by the Home Office. I think because she didn’t earn enough as a primary school teacher.

They left the U.K., so “job done” I guess 🙄

I don’t understand how more people aren’t outraged by the simple concept of “if you fall in love and get married, your spouse will probably not be allowed to live here with you.”

I can only guess it’s because the media doesn’t tell them.

I was unsure about cigarette filters being "plastic" so I looked it up and indeed they are made out of a form of plastic - cellulose acetate - that is not biodegradable and (even worse) breaks down into microplastics.

ah. So it turns out whilst Labour plan to take refugees’ jewellery they now say they will draw the line at wedding rings.

Guess that makes it ok then 🙄
November 17, 2025 at 8:54 PM
There were many reasons why I voted Labour in 2024.

Taking wedding rings from refugees was not one of them.

The problem for Mike Graham is he said the quiet bit out loud so Talk had to fire him.

They have no such problems with Julia Hartley-Brewer, as her prime journalistic talent is to provide enough plausible deniability that the stench of racism is nothing to do with her.

Thanks for the link. Doesn’t look like he has a Damascene conversion at all. More a whinge about “why should I have had to do any work on this?”
November 16, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Really?

I’ve never heard any mea culpa from Steve Baker.

Funny how the media has kept that one quiet.

What about the cost benefit analysis of proper policing?

Why should the vast majority of sensible people have to suffer the collective punishment favoured by fans of lazy governance?
November 16, 2025 at 2:23 PM
Lisa Nandy of course would do nothing to stop Paul Marshall buying the Telegraph because she’s useless and lazy.

If you’re walking the streets drinking beer at any time then yes you are in one of the stages of alcoholism.

Sorry, but I don’t make the rules.

Let potential refugees awaiting resolution volunteer for paid duties to top up income. But don’t make it unpaid compulsory work.
