This work also ties into my @ec.europa.eu #MSCA BookSHUK project at Modena and Penn. Especially fascinating: Morais’s exchanges with Marco Mortara (1815–1894), which illuminate Jewish book circulation, private libraries & Italian-American intellectual networks 📚🌍
