What's the connection between Shabbetai Zevi, Glikl of Hameln, the parà adumà, and my beloved Hamburg?

I dive into some bizarre and fascinating territory in my latest article, accepted by Cromohs in the issue n. 27 (2024):

Just finished reading this important Holocaust memoir/interview of Stella Levi, written by Michael Frank.

What an amazing and portrait of a brilliant and curious girl and woman born in the Juderia (the Jewish neighborhood) of Rhodes under Fascist rule.

New year, new house, new views.

During my last year in Jerusalem, I will have the privilege to enjoy this landscape including the Monastery of the Cross, the Knesset, the National Library of Israel, and the Israel Museum among others.

I hope it will be a better year for everyone.

Last day in Leuven 🇧🇪 before returning to Jerusalem 🇮🇱 tomorrow.

Some pictures from the gorgeous town hall, which was exceptionally accessible to the public some weeks ago.

I'm going to miss this view but am also looking forward to seeing my colleagues and friends in Israel!
