If true, probably either to ensure they can be independently designed and deployed, to ensure that one can be down without causing wider outages, or both. So it's resilience, not speed, causing this usually.

Disclaimer: that's purely based off of the screenshot, I don't know this system. 2/2

Duration and/or batch size likely aren't the reason. From the looks of it, this shows an event driven system, and the usual reason for doing so is to reduce coupling between components.

So the part that registers the subscribing and the part that processes other metadata are kept independent. 1/2

For example, Unit Testing Principles, Practices and Patterns is great for coaching and advanced skill dev, whereas The Art of Unit Testing is better for newcomers. And they combine incredibly well with the XP books from Kent Beck or TDD books. (The latter not from Manning but still.)

New releases/new MEAPs would definitely be great, saves me from having periodically crawl the website.

Maybe some more in depth posts about a topics and what books combine well/are useful for which scenario.

If you have AC anyway, you can also have it do double duty as heating.

(Though it requires well-insulated buildings. As a European I don't know if US building code makes it as effective as it's here for newer homes.)

I suspect it's either the new background loading or the Volvo tuning pack causing this. I also occasionally notice the truck jerking when hooking up the trailer, as if my new truck configuration is not completely correct for the physics engine.

I think you guys need a bigger overhaul of work culture to make it work though.

The fundamental issue is that here, free time is free time. No need to keep phone on or anything.

That leads to a whole lot of other things, including often (not always) the ability to work when/how much you want.

Sherlock is a bit slower than us, we're too smart for him 😂

I mean, you also just posted him saying that peace with Ukraine in 24 hours is more difficult than he thought (but as difficult as we already expected)

I doubt that SCS will rework trucks that aren't for sale as new anymore.

In a way it's already generous that they keep them drivable across updates at all 🥺

But although unlikely, I would like an interior rework too.

I briefly drove a Stralis from the second-hand market about a year ago, the first truck I bought in the game.

Are we talking about that model or something much older?

At least I agree with Martin that the outside looks nice 🤩

If you want to know how a screen reader is going to read an emoji, this is the Unicode emoji list:

Also useful for checking if an emoji is going to convey the same meaning for screen reader users as you intend it to.

Wow.

If I calculate that right, your now-current Asus is 8 years old. That's a testament to SCS how well their games run on older hardware. 💪

Wow. I started playing a year ago, at 1.50, so I have missed a LOT of the game's development 🥺

Things have changed almost certainly, because the Volvo FH780 had so little torque during the Xmas holidays that I stuck with the Scania for heavy hauling, but since 1.54 it feels super snappy.

Whether that's related to your fuel economy woes, I don't know though 🥺
June 21, 2025 at 1:29 PM
I never even looked at my fuel economy in ets2 😲

What caused it to change? The PhysX changes?

I didn't know his personnel situation had deteriorated so drastically, or I might not have responded to you in the first place.

This drastically changes the calculation. Not to SpaceX being incompetent but to Musk ruining its competence.

(As a spaceflight enthusiast this saddens me, btw.)

This (Dutch) news article says that many experienced engineers have left the company due to Musk's antics, so the remaining are either inexperienced or pulling double shifts, or both, which would make "human error" true but much closer to your original jab at Musk. 1/2
