I've been in a certification class for Tree Risk Assessment north of Chicago for the past couple of days. My hotel is right on the beach, and I get to hang out with a bunch of tree guys. Not a bad way to spend a few days, except I get to spend half the day tomorrow taking the exam.

I still have openings for both a CPR class and a chainsaw class. The CPR registration deadline is approaching very, very quickly. Please share widely. Thanks!

I presented on bears for a Headstart class once. The teacher wanted me to make kids afraid of bears. Instead I talked about all bear species, ancient myths, etc. After, the teacher rethought her style. We need to change the way we talk about some things for our kids.
