Agreed, I must admit he wasn't my first choice, but I'm still delighted with the result. Much better than the lunatic that is Wilders.

Their leader Rob Jetten performed well in debates and others in the centre / centre-left less so. He is a good debater and good in speeches so must have convinced many people late on.

In fairness, even in The Netherlands, nobody was tipping them until recently. They had a massive surge in the polls just the last 2 weeks or so, but never actually led the polls.
