now i have three different versions saved, using three different godot versions...

AYO i just failed to connect one of the ribbon cables inside!
its working again, still gonna be looking for replacements just in case
having this thing die for good is super scary as someone who pays for exactly one streaming service (for anime)
and gets everything else on physical media

took a long time but i learned a ton about UI and data management in Godot, very worth it.
(not gonna get into details, because if i learned anything in the research for this, its that people will never agree on how to do any of this "correctly" ^^ )

i found out there would have to be some soldering involved, three tiny little connectors for one of the four cable ends, the rest are simple clamp connectors thankfully,
on the upside, my soldering iron finally saw some use again 😅
