This sort of thing is what we need: A call to be better, to embrace the best of American values. I think of the stories I hear of friendly and helpful American soldiers during the great wars of the last century. We have been pulled down by selfish, immoral leaders, but we can do better together.
In America an ugly chapter has begun. We understand that this is our time to stand for our principles -no matter the cost. We see fear-we see cowardice. And we see courage too.
This moment calls for moral fortitude & clarity. We are wide awake now. Our best selves are rising to meet the moment.

How can this happen? Authorization for this type of access would generally take significant time. Where is government bureaucracy when you need it?

The problem with Elon is we can't fire him because we never hired him.
And we can't impeach him because we never put him in office.
But the DC police can arrest him as a private citizen for trespassing next time he barges into federal offices without legit authorization.

Elon Musk is now bragging about getting rid of the team that put together the 'Direct File' tax filing system, which allows citizens to easily file their taxes for free.
Direct File is a big target of the for-profit tax prep industry including corporations like Intuit and H&R Block.

Silly question here. Elon Musk and his minions are clearly and publicly breaking the law. They are breaching secure files, stealing sensitive data. Why aren’t they in jail by now? Why are they still free to continue this rampage?

I spend way too much time looking for my phone so I can use it as a flashlight, a camera, a calculator, a computer, or a phone — while holding my phone in my hand and using it for some other purpose. Somehow my brain still wants separate devices for all these functions.
