Maybe? We’re currently tempted by the names of 18th cent Dutch women as merchants but based in NLs - our data so far is all 18th c bc it has been more accessible but our aim is to go further back through the 17th

I’m weighing in way too late here! Saai/says is definitely a woolen cloth, lywaet is generic cloth word so have to know context. It’s literally linen but can also be just cloth (like how our linen closets hold our cotton sheets and toilet paper)
