Ignoring the blond elephant in the room--the conversation with Gosetsu about death. Dieter argued fiercely with Gosetsu about a "good" death, & while Gosetsu was speaking of himself, Dieter was thinking of Haurchefant. Dieter would remain extremely raw for several more years, but this talk helped

I saw someone say that your favorite expac is the one that gives you the tastiest OC lore. I think that's accurate, & also explains why EW is overall my enemy: it fucked Dieter's character arc SO hard that it's been like four years & I still don't know what to do with him lmao

That is, I do think Aymeric is in love with Dieter, & Dieter is a little in love with Aymeric--but the stars do not align to make the leap to romance. Aymeric gives Dieter all he can, but his job ultimately comes first, & what he is free to give Dieter is not enough for what Dieter needs in a lover

The thing I hate most about discord is that you mostly can't look around at a server without joining it, & it immediately announces your presence to god & everyone. Like can I get a minute to get my bearings before people start talking to me?? I don't even know where I am yet
