scene rewrites could also be a fun exercise, it's already something i idly do when im analyzing media anyway (esp when i see misread subtext, i rewrite the scene to explore what i woulda done if that read was intended). that could also give my sideblog more use and dip my toe into fandom stuff

writing is trickier but smth i want to do more so spitballing some ideas. ive made progress on committing things to docs but its still messy. plotting is important but i want to do more "actual" writing. maybe i'll start drafting scenes just for fun, even if they might not remain canon

once a habit is established then its easier to kick it up a notch if you want. some things benefit from bigger blocks of time, art works better with warm ups and better focus. but even keeping the rust off and doing doodles or studies helps

REAL. i feel like the remake especially is going to confuse ppl cuz it looks more like a standard survival horror game instead of the weirder more dreamlike original. tho i'll admit im not 100% familiar with SH2

also take a shot whenever a nonlinear or figural narrative gets trashed for bad writing bc the audience member doesnt understand stories that u gotta puzzle out or what information is literal and what isn't. my man this media doesn't suck ur just not the target audience and that's ok!
