It's become clear that this administration is just a protracted war on anybody who's read a book without pictures in it. It's a miracle we're all still getting up and going to work every morning. The psychological drain is the point, and I'm increasingly grateful to the people who are still decent.

Ages 0-4 are the most important, emotionally & intellectually, in human development.

Yet, in the US, we have a very high rate of childhood poverty and a broken child care system.

Congratulations to New Mexico for leading the way forward for high quality, free child care. Other states must follow.

Today on Mother’s Day, let’s remember every mother deserves a livable wage, affordable child care, paid family leave, and the ability to retire with dignity.

America must become a nation which treats all mothers and their kids with the respect and dignity they deserve.

I thought Jan. 6th was a deal breaker. I thought all of his moral shortcomings was a deal breaker. The constant lying would be a deal breaker. His ties to Russia was a deal breaker. Unique to America, our health care system is designed not to make people well, but to make CEOs & wealthy stockholders incredibly rich. The result: We have the highest infant mortality rate of any wealthy country on earth. How cruel, how immoral is that? We need Medicare for All.

The result: We rank dead last among wealthy nations in life expectancy.

We must end that international embarrassment.
