I am always for parity!
The era of parity in the NBA:
- 7 different champions in 7 seasons for the first time ever
- a reigning champion hasn't made it past the second round since 2019
- two 60-win teams were second round exits for the first time since 2007

my story on intergenerational home-sharing is now outside the paywall

It’s an underrated idea that bridges generations, boosts needed housing supply, and helps more people afford to age in place

Legislation that would make it easier for relatives to get licensed as foster parents and receive assistance is expected to be considered in early January by the state House, having already passed through the Senate. Gov. JB Pritzker has said he will sign the measure if it gets to his desk.

NEW: Idaho law doesn’t require its elected county coroners to follow any national standards for death investigations. The lack of oversight has left grief-stricken parents without answers in their children’s deaths.
