Ten years is really dumb when most people think five years is plenty.
The Govt must know that, so I am hoping that the ten years thing is just some bullshit they are throwing about now, which they think people will forget about in a while.

Thanks for the info.
After a coffee I managed to find a Parliamentary briefing paper with a graph up to 2020.
It shows, as you say, numbers increasing in the Corbyn period but staying much the same during Starmer’s time (till recently anyway.)
