This was a very good talk. One part piqued my interest: 'within a reasonable time'. I had to rush but I had a question - do you see a relation between it and the US 6th amendment 'right to a speedy trial?

You can install a Heat Pump, they make noise 24x7. In the US they have heat pumps but they also have "single family homes" separated by some distance. I've no idea why anyone ever thought they could work in the UK

e.g drug courts, Esperanza courts, veterans courts. The last few are created in the State (other states may have their own). Only a minority of cases end up with a full trial. However anyone can request one. In fact if you don't accept a plea/offer you will have a jury trial.

In the US. Misdemeanor courts have a single judge. In Felony courts, you have a system of pleas and offers. A judge oversees this. You can have a "Bench trial" where the judge hears evidence and rules, or you can have a full jury trial. Family cases can get a contested hearing. There are others

I had a router upgrade with Virgin Media, it was not enabled on their network. I spent hours trying to get through their dumb a** security (repeatedly). The situation was resolved once I got through to a human. Keep trying until you can talk to somebody

I think they forgot the Petition of Rights 1628. The Instrument of Government 1653 and the humble petition (that followed it). Each American Colony, prior to independence, had a Bill of Rights, either inherited from England or improved by British Subjects. The Colonial charters that preceded
