Why would I actually want to verify myself as an adult on bluesky? I don't want to see NSFW content on here, that was one of the problems I had with X which always seemed to fail to filter that out effectively. So basically if I don't verify, I've got a cast iron NSFW filter?

I wish there was a way to "opt-out" of ads for specific products/brands as I'm never going to be interested. I feel like that would be mutually beneficial? They don't spend money serving an ad to someone who's never going to buy, and said person doesn't get more and more annoyed with the brand.

The UX of the Alexa app is shockingly bad for managing devices, and they killed off the web app so there's no alternative. I fully expect I'll be getting rid of my Amazon devices over the next few years, not something I thought would happen so soon.

Just got WSL2 working on my Windows 11 MacBook Pro. Apple don't enable virtualisation by default, so you have to use a custom bootloader (rEFInd) to enable it at boot time.

Well, I was dreaming of a mild, grey Christmas, so I’m quite satisfied.
I've now got Windows 11 installed. It's running perfectly, and the battery is holding up fine. On macOS this thing was unusable, what the heck are Apple playing at?
So I haven't used my 13" MacBook Pro (early 2015) for ages because it runs like a dog. It turns out that Apple throttle the CPU because the battery is reporting that it "needs service". I've just installed Windows 10 on it and now it's running like a new laptop!
