Congressman for California’s 39th District. Proudly representing the Inland Empire 🏔️🍊🌴
We’ve seen it in D.C., LA, Chicago, and now Charlotte. Armed raids don’t make communities safer. They just spread fear and chaos.

Over 250 people have been arrested in Trump’s latest crackdown. Communities are living in fear and lives are being upended. Charlotte deserves better.

Trump changed his mind on releasing the Epstein files once he knew that some of them would be withheld from the public. I wonder why that might be…🤔

The American people deserve more than a pinky promise. They deserve leaders who will never stop fighting to protect their healthcare. I am a NO on the Senate deal.

Happy Veterans Day to all of the brave men and women who have served our country in uniform. As Ranking Member on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, I work every day to ensure that every veteran receives the critical care, support, and respect they deserve.

Adelita Grijalva won her election in September, but Mike Johnson still refuses to swear her into her seat in Congress. Why? Well, it might have something to do with the fact that Grijalva would be the 218th vote needed to force the FBI to release the Epstein files…

Republicans are afraid of crossing Donald Trump, so they’re doing absolutely NOTHING to stop him as he delays and withholds SNAP benefits from 42 million Americans.

I’m thrilled about all of the massive victories in elections across the country on Tuesday, particularly the passing of Prop 50 in CA. The work is far from over, but this is a huge step in getting our democracy back on track.
November 6, 2025 at 9:42 PM
As hundreds of thousands of workers go unpaid, Trump is busy doing a home improvement project funded by his billionaire friends.

This is who Donald Trump has always been: a guy who puts himself first during a crisis and completely disregards the people he’s supposed to serve.
November 4, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Trump flirting with the idea of a third term isn’t surprising. He has an insatiable desire for power and he’ll do anything to keep it, even if it’s against the law.

We have to make sure we hold him accountable. If you live in CA, you can do that by voting YES on Prop 50.
November 2, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Trump knows that prop 50 passing will screw him over, so he’s lashing out and sending the DOJ into CA to mess with us. Don’t let his intimidation tactics stop you from voting YES on Prop 50.

I stood with neighbors in Riverside, and millions more nationwide, to tell Donald Trump that America belongs to the people, not a dictator. The No Kings Rally showed us that democracy thrives when we show up for each other, with compassion, courage, and collective action.
October 23, 2025 at 3:49 PM
On Saturday, I joined an incredible team of volunteers in Riverside to knock doors and talk to voters about Proposition 50, California’s stand against extremism and an important step to protect our democracy. Return your ballot by November 4 and vote YES on Prop 50.

We have to stay focused. Amidst the chaos of the government shutdown, Trump is sending troops into our cities, and calling for the jailing of Democrats who speak out against his actions.
October 17, 2025 at 9:44 PM
While the government remains shut down and millions of Americans are bracing for their health care premiums to double or triple, Trump is busy sending $40 billion to bail out Argentina’s president.
October 16, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Democrats are on the same page. We won’t vote for any spending bill that doesn’t cancel the cuts, lower costs, and protect health care.
October 15, 2025 at 2:31 PM
19 million Americans depend on the enhanced premium tax credits to be able to afford their health insurance. If we don’t cancel the cuts, they’ll be left uninsured. This could be a death sentence for many. We must stop the cuts.
October 6, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Trump pledged on day 1 that he was going to bring down prices. Instead, he gave permanent tax breaks to billionaires and took nearly $1 trillion away from the health care of ordinary Americans. I won’t vote for any spending bill that doesn’t cancel the cuts and protect your care.
October 3, 2025 at 6:38 PM
Don’t forget: In the fight to protect our health care and lower costs, you have the leverage. It’s time to call your Republican representatives and urge them to cancel the cuts.
October 1, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Trump is using racism as a tactic to distract his supporters from the fact that he’s taking away their health care. Don’t let him fool you.
October 1, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Last night in the Democratic caucus meeting, Hakeem Jeffries told us about his meeting with Trump and made 2 things clear: Republicans don't want to talk about health care, and they don't want to talk about Jeffrey Epstein. That won't stop us.
September 30, 2025 at 6:22 PM
For Donald Trump and Republicans, the game is all about keeping health care cuts in place in order to preserve tax breaks for the very wealthy. It’s as simple as that.
September 30, 2025 at 2:41 PM
While Democrats are committed to lowering costs and protecting health care, Donald Trump and Republicans are more interested in protecting tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.
September 29, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Don’t be fooled. The No on Prop 50 campaign is backed by MAGA mega donors. They want you to believe that they’re trying to protect our democracy, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. California must fight back and vote yes on Proposition 50 this November.
September 25, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Trump's inability to take a joke nearly came at the expense of the First Amendment. Even though Kimmel will be coming back on air tonight, we can't forget about the tantrum that the Trump admin threw last week, which was reminiscent of petty authoritarian leaders like Xi Jinping.
