Since 1988, Dec 1 has marked World AIDS Day, a time to raise awareness and honor lives lost. But this year, the Trump admin refuses to acknowledge it. That silence won’t erase the crisis that decimated the LGBTQ+ community. It dishonors those we’ve lost and those still fighting.

Millennials did everything “right”—they got degrees, started careers, and saved what they could. But between soaring prices and high interest rates, homeownership is out of reach for many. The American Dream shouldn’t be inaccessible. We need policies that put working people first.

The FAA was already short on air traffic controllers before the shutdown. Now, workers going unpaid, we’re seeing 5,000+ flight delays in a single day. No one should have to work without pay, especially those responsible for our safety.

I’m thrilled about all of the massive victories in elections across the country on Tuesday, particularly the passing of Prop 50 in CA. The work is far from over, but this is a huge step in getting our democracy back on track.
