People in the Pittsburg area, you may have some Nazis in the area… 30 miles away. Sorry, but you're the closet major city near Mon Valley, PA.

Scaffold Services allegedly has Nazi images on their merch, including a Totenkopf and SS icons.

Here's video from the scene.

Remember how I said the 9th District was getting treated better than everyone else with people at the sites?

Well, 1400 E Tulpehocken Ave, less than a half mile from the mayor, is a dump. No, seriously, is a DUMP!

No one there, 3 overflowing dumpsters, and illegal dumping.
July 9, 2025 at 1:29 AM
Went back to 6100 Ardleigh St since the Mayor's Office said it was cleaned up a day ago.

Wow, that's a lot of trash after only 24 or 36 hours!
July 9, 2025 at 1:22 AM
I decided to go to two more locations along Germantown Ave: Washington Lane and Queens Lane.

Both have crews who either are, or were, there to clean up today.

So credit where it's due, there seems to be remediation going on.

I went back to 6100 Ardleigh St today, and the scene is starkly different!

The two dumpsters have been moved and nearly all the trash outside is gone. This may be new trash.

The old Cardinal Dougherty High School is listed as a site, but no dumpsters there. They were likely moved to 3rd and 65th.

They mentioned the scene was very different on the 2nd day of the strike with Parker Piles everywhere. They were hired to clean them up.
July 4, 2025 at 7:25 PM
Over at 3rd and 65th, the scene is different. There are SIX DUMPSTERS. Two people are helping the residents throw trash away.

They get $30 an hour.
July 4, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Of course, the no dumping signs aren't helping.
July 4, 2025 at 6:49 PM
At 10th and Cumberland, the scene is dystopian.

All along Wyoming Ave, mounds of trash pile up along the Logan Triangle.
July 4, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Back at it, this time 10th and Chew by Fern Rock on the 9th District.

Very clean!
July 4, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Actually, I ran back to 6100 Ardleigh St, and it's WORSE THAN EVER!
July 4, 2025 at 1:59 AM
No, THIS is the actual dumpsite at Germantown and Queens Lane!
July 4, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Germantown and Queens Lane.

Here's the thing, this isn't the actual dump site!
July 4, 2025 at 12:00 AM
6200 Germantown Ave

8500 Pickering Ave is... clean. Really clean!

This site is being monitored and they're getting rid of any bags blocking the dumpsters.

100 E Mermaid Lane, now shut down. The only one in Chestnut Hill, too.

The offical alternative address?

6100 Ardleigh St, a predominantly Black neighborhood.
July 3, 2025 at 5:16 PM
Over at 1400 E Tulpehocken Ave, right by MLK, Jr. High, someone is monitoring the site and cleaning up.

How many locations and neighbors can say this during this trash strike?

Here's a video.

Parker Piles of Northwest Philly: A thread of photos of dump sites around Philly.

First up, 6610 Ardleigh Street and... holy shit is this a mess! 🧵
July 3, 2025 at 4:54 PM
The rich white folks in Chestnut Hill don't have to have a trash pile, but the poor and middle-class Black people get their trash instead. That's a really dirty thing to do during the Philly trash strike.
