Also anecdotal but it’s been my impression that a lot of customers are averse to raising issues/questions in the moment. But then there are also other reasons why I see that, so who knows if it is to be trusted.

Fair point yet I’ve noted how many places have conditioned customers not to interact with employees, whether it’s lack of adequate staffing to find someone or directing self-service questions to their app.

Deep cut.

Due to mascot inflation, he is one of four the Reds have: www.mlb.com/reds/fans/ma...

I would like to think I could enjoy the season if they didn’t live up to expectations but had Burrow to be competitive. The Vikings and Broncos games have just been dire. We’ll see what comes, but Lions and Packers the next two weeks does not inspire confidence. 😅

With Burrow out, they may be the worst team in the NFL. These last two games were abysmal, and the two they won with him there for about 1.5 games were very ugly. Had such high expectations and have basically given up on the season. No fun at all.

Appreciate it!

I confess I have not watched them much this year because they do not seem like an entertaining team. Not very confident this weekend with them playing the Brewers, who they have been awful against for years, but I could see them backing in if they win tonight and they and the Mets lose the next two.

If only they had the Brewers audio feed. (I reached the point where I can’t listen to the Reds announcers if I watch the game.)

Their inability to beat Milwaukee is a concern, and at times they struggle with Pittsburgh. But I can’t complain that they control their fate as I wrote them off a week or so ago.

As a Reds fan, I thank the Mets for their free fall, but I do not put it past the Reds to fold this week either.

And in general students were happy to see their roles as PR, even as it was something I pushed back on. Part of the subjects’ shift is probably related to how stuff that at one time would have been contained to a campus could now be out there for anyone to see. But still.

This feels akin to a shift I noticed in my last years in the Comm department at a small university. School officials increasingly saw student reporter/announcer roles as their PR and wouldn’t necessarily talk without questions in advance/ability to review or approve, even on/ innocuous matters.

I would expect nothing less than two breakdowns.

Say hello to the Scotiabank escalator for me.

Oh, so there are chocolate notes in it. That makes more sense.
