So please, don’t take your Miata and make it a … Lexus LC? Sure, the MSRP is higher on the Lexus but the role of the Miata is to halo the mass selling Mazda 3 and CX-5.

The magic trick is reducing to the essentials. The essence of a phone is the screen, just as I think the essence of a car is the drivetrain. And around it, removing extras like more cameras and speakers. @sandofsky.com compared it to a rangefinder. www.lux.camera/requiem-ipho...
Requiem for the Rangefinder: An iPhone Air Review
Last week I set out to write a few thousand words on the iPhone Air, but it turns out I only need three: the lesser iPhone. Compared to the Pro and baseline models, it has fewer cameras and a smaller ...

The iPhone air does a remarkable magic trick of having a max class screen with the hand heft of a mini. It has the same screen size as my first Face ID phone, iPhone XS Max. Having carried various flavors of minis and SE’s, they are nice to carry but cramped to use.

Throwing stones cautiously as my previous phones were iPhone pro’s and I have a full-size station wagon for what I believe are functional reasons. ( I have 2 70 lb dogs)

Full size SUV’s exist for folks to spend more money for aspirational functionality. I hear they sell really well.

Most people don’t buy Miata’s. I missed the window in life where it might have been appropriate (I had a golf in my 20’s). Most people buy crossovers, much to the chagrin of car people. They’re flexible for all the things people might do over the lifespan of an expensive asset.

Basically the whole damn department is either excepted or exempted (website is currently claiming 97%); even processing of pending disability claims continues unabated during a shutdown
I'm all for VA employees getting paid, but this isn't some Big Win for vets relative to current situation

I lift the silly weights in the gym. I will mess around with my own words and sentences and thoughts out of it. See where it all takes me.

There's an interesting thought experiment about how authenticated content and dynamic content can coexist in the DOM, and how browsers and the web ecosystem can facilitate both this new model of publishing and user assurances for e.g. price transparency.

The example from the session discussion of price transparency is really compelling. Price transparency is critical for fair markets. Authenticated price quotes is perhaps an improvement on depending on the long-term feasibility of automated anonymous web crawling?

In addition to authenticating the connection (TLS), you'd now have authentication of content that you can prove originated from the publisher - valuable for archival and transparency goals. An appview for this, if you squint, looks kind of like a CDN, for better or worse?

Identity portability in itself is already huge. Schools facilitate relationships between different parties (students, teachers, etc) they don't *own* those relationships and they definitely don't own those identities.
