There is nothing permanent about this. Trump and his supplicants have fully revealed who they are and what they believe. Their vision of foreign policy is a mirror image of their brutalism at home. But they don't get to change reality, what you believe, or what you choose to do about it.

Their motives are anything but pure, but it looks like Corporate America's fawning over Trump will be very temporary. CEOs don't like chaotic marketplaces.
American business leaders are turning on Trump — fast
Biden-era regulations are still standing, and new ideologically driven crackdowns and market-roiling policies are being piled on. The MAGA vibes are fading.

I would venture to guess that "personal liberties" are for racists, homophobes, transphobes, misogynists rather than immigrants, trans folx, women, POC. And I assume that the "free market" emphasis will be more about removing all regulations than criticizing Trump's tariffs.

Most of the corporate media is leaving the impression that the resistance is weaker than in 2017. Rachel has been reporting in detail that this is not the case. Now Republican congresspeople are getting pummeled in town halls, and Democratic ones are getting lots of pressure to be bolder.

Spoiler alert: every single Republican voted NO on making the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share.
