And the complaints of "Tory/Boris Brexit" (whilst justified) ring completely hollow. @teamlabouruk.bsky.social voted for the deal and never asked questions about it in opposition or mentioned it in the election.

Climate change is serious, and the @rescoop.eu team are working hard to develop citizen based solutions. But we aim also to be joyful, optimistic, energetic, practical and ethical in our work.

Agree. Also in same basket... global decline in US influence, corresponding growth of China and companies, relatedly climate friendly technologies spreading through developing world.

My experience of a European driving in Calgary for a week (helping ferry my niece around) was the absence of any bikes or bike lanes, the roads were dominated by huge SUVs, largely stuck in traffic.

My late father gave me the following advice when I started work.
"Be nice to the people you meet going up, as you may well meet them again going down".
Its a well known saying - so surprised @teamlabouruk.bsky.social don't seem to have heard of it.
