True but it's way too big for us. It should be being used by more than just the 2 of us. State of the housing market means we're stuck. It certainly doesn't feel like an asset atm.

As someone who has been trying to sell for over a year, our house is only an asset if and when we manage to sell. Perfectly acceptable that we then get taxed on the excess of that sale. In the meantime, the place is a liability.
