If you ever find yourself in Iceland, the fabulously random Punk museum, in an old underground toilet facility in Reykjavik, is worth a visit.👍🇮🇸

Seconded! We were there three weeks ago and loved it! 👍🇮🇸

Ah yes, how have I changed?!

I still love bikes that talk to me, still value charm & silliness over comfort, still like silly twisty roads rather than big open ones…

But, I’m no longer disappointed to get home without grinding a slider, instead I value just getting out on a bike, any bike. 😀👌🏼

And hence I now believe that a basic human right is to have:
a sports bike ( for track ‘cos roads are busier & worse than ever).
Some sort of vencha bike, albeit mine is old & slow.
A Supermoto, to replace a sports bike on the road.
Heated gloves, ‘cos bikes make me feel good at all times of year!👍

Loved sports bikes but then discovered Supermotos… I’ve had loads, from 500 strokers to current Husky 701. Fun, light, fun, crashable, fun…
I loved how I could ride to work, enjoy a trail ride, go racing, even enjoy a daft weekend camping, but obvs they’re pretty crippling for any distance… 😀

Field bikes 1st, rode a knackered SS50 everywhere at 16, 125s, KR1 250, radicalised by the 1st PB Knockhill Frenzy!
Then proddie racing from 250 to ExUP1000, Ministocks (cheaper) & years of hill climbs (cheaper still). Always enjoyed ‘Thinking’ about my riding… but often thought the wrong thing!🤣🤦🏻

I got a proper bollocking off a marshal, doing a “Flat Hillclimb” Twisty sprint meeting at Elvington, as I’d forgotten I’d left a friend’s “Plastic with Titanium bits” slider on. Apparently it makes people “Think you’re crashing!”😀

P.S. Race/track Marshalls are awesome! 👍

Yes, preload, damping, oil, spring-rates, ride height… Being heavier than normal “design weight” it can be a bit soggy otherwise.

Although this edges it for me, because I love the Belinda Carlisle harmonies. 🎶

Actually, that 3 wheeler appears to have 4 wheels now I look at the photo. 😀🤦🏻

Motorcycle Live… a great day!

Sat night beers with racing champs, Sunday show.

Cool bikes + a truck, a 3 wheeler & a car too.

The rise of the Chinese bike brands (Kove Dakar rep for me).

Rode a Kawasaki “125” size e-bike on the slippy slalom.

Top fun playing on the tight MX track on the OSET.😀

I loved that 21” front wheel CCM too, it was something quite different and had so much “space” in the frame.👍 The “IT175” coloured T7 was a great fit!🤞

Hi there, As someone with a definite interest in John Woodley’s racing adventures (and the owner of the Mk2 RG he rode in ‘77 & ‘78 in Europe & the UK), I’d love a copy of his book. How/where do I send money? Cheers, Mark👍
