Ideas are important but JUST as important is the vehicle that delivers those ideas. What Mamdani, Nader and Sanders do is throw sand in the gears of that vehicle. They give this false sense that ALL disagreement is betrayal and that to really be progressive, we must bash the Dem party.

As far as the Democratic party and why we should belong to it, there is no progress that has been made in the past 100+ years in which the Democratic party hasn't been an intrinsic part. Even programs signed by GOP Presidents like the EPA and the ADA would not have passed without a Dem congress.

Because the Moderate vote was split. When someone like Mamdani wins in a purple state, I'll pay attention. Until then, he's just a guy that's going to be a drag on the party- just like Bernie and his sycophants.
