Justin Alexander's book is a beast! Don't let the size discourage you--the prose is light, breezy, and conversational. There's a lot of very good info here, written in a way I've not seen conveyed before. If you have a gamer on your list, this is a must-get for them.

Bought this at the supermarket. Shouldn’t have bothered. I mean, if you don’t know anything about Kong, then sure, pick this up. Or just ask me a question at any convention I’ve ever been to and then enjoy the Ted Talk as I regale you with anecdotes, trivia, minutiae, and granular amounts of detail.

Happy Birthday to the late, great Joe Kubert. I love his work, all of it, uncritically; it thrums my soul every time I see it. No one approached the page like him; you can spot Kubert art from space. Getting to meet him at my first San Diego all those years ago still brings up goosebumps.

Mail call! My bonus zine that I made for all of the backers of Ogre’s 11 has arrived and it looks pretty damn spiffy if I do say so myself! That’s mostly because of the gorgeous Dean Spenser cover, but I like the guts more than somewhat, as well.
