Now seems to be an appropriate time to remind everyone that this is what you collectively voted for.

A full day of almost nothing but adjournments by the major political parties with all talks about a budget that affects you taking place where nobody can see them doing it.

We've had councillors (many of them from the two parties who will de facto and de jure decide the money available to get stuff done in 2025) decry the bad maintenance on housing, the lack of housing provision, crappy unmaintained & uncleaned streets...

Without residents with spending power living in the city, the centre is doomed. Sadly, curreny council policy exacerbates the issue. It's been known for decades, nothing new.

This is really sad to hear. We live in the city 24/7 and try and shop in the city. But the options are smaller every year: Laura Ashley, Debenhams, now LOccitane - all places I used to shop in. BT here often don't have what I'm looking for, so I go to Arnotts or order from them.

I'd love to know what happened to the position of Limerick City Centre Revitalisation Manager, set up in 2020. We had covid and Celia Larkin is now in a different job in the council (v bad timing), but has the position been completely scrapped?
