I remember when supporting the Washington Post felt patriotic. But their editorial supporting the complete destruction of the historic East Wing is just the latest sign that their ownership prefers sucking up to those in power versus standing up for what is right. Goodbye.

Huh. I just opened PowerPoint to work on a deck for a conference presentation coming up, and Copilot prompted me to tell it what I was doing, then made its own deck on the subject, which was impressively generic. Do they not realize people use PowerPoint to make their OWN presentations? Puzzled.

Among the poor decisions in the President's budget proposal is this one cutting NSF research grants and the "broadening participation in computing" work. Systems created for all people should be created by all people. In this era of AI it's even more vital to identify and address biases.

I woke up at 5am this morning with stress tummy, thinking about former co-workers in the federal government being treated like criminals and fired for no reason. So I wanted to try a game I'd seen a trailer for... but I couldn't remember the name of it, just that gameplay was something about digging a hole. So I typed in "recent game about digging a hole" in DuckDuckGo search. Oh! 😂😂😂 Turns out it's called "A Game About Digging A Hole". 😂 Nice job devs!
