IIRC these are the only 4 excerpts to my novel I've ever shared publicly. Now I just need a place to submit it.

One of the tech pages I follow on social media has a suggested reading list which included this book. So I found it at my local library. It looks like a kids or tween book but I'll read it anyway since I found it. #amreading

I donated to #Wikipedia today. The money I've spent on Wikipedia--an encyclopedia that anyone can edit--is probably now 3x the money I've ever spent on both of the real fact checked encyclopedias I own.

Trump now agrees we should release the files...which means he's already destroyed evidence.

I guess you really are what you eat. That's why he's a little pussy and a dick.

You're all sitting around waiting for Congress to reopen like the kid waiting for his dad who went out for cigarettes 8 hours ago & took a suitcase with him. Wake the fuck up. Understand the position you're in. It's not gonna be like Star Wars with Tarkin sweeping in to tell you they dissolved it.

Today's weird thought: Julian Gough's The End poem gives similar vibes as the 2 supernatural voices in Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Why has nobody else mentioned this? The long punishing journey which changes the hero, the sleeping hero, dream state, the possibility that the voices are angels, etc.

Just to show you how politics is fucking up my productivity, this year I started tracking news articles I've read alongside books I've read. So far this year I've only read 37 nonfic books, 12 fiction books--but 214 news articles in my attempt to keep up with the shit show.

Look, I consider myself fairly intelligent but I also know I may tick some of the boxes for the typical oblivious American. Anyway, my VPN just routed me thru a server in a city I've never heard of, in a nation I've never heard of, and the satellite image was a coastline I didn't recognize.

I'm re-reading Out Of The Inner Circle by Bill Landreth. I read it once in 1989 and again in 2001. Oddly, I took no notes on it either time. I'm gonna read it again just to see what memories it inspires. It's free on Internet Archive. #amreading

This is still floating around out there. Read the article at 404 Media or go straight to the source and download the booklet from Internet Archive.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a declassified World War II-era CIA guide to sabotaging fascism in the workplace has become one of the most popular free ebooks on the internet:

It's not a bug. It's a feature.
NEW: Tesla's "Full self-driving" is failing to detect oncoming trains at railroad crossings.

Tesla drivers tell NBC News their cars didn't detect train horns, flashing lights and descending crossing arms.

We even caught the issue on camera.

IDK how scammers are getting AI to write books when I can't even get it to do basic research. For the last 3 days I've been trying to feed ChatGPT a set of 10 statements and asking it to find 3 relevant articles for each. It keeps giving me bogus links to nonexistent articles that just lead to 404s.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but staying abreast of the news and "raising awareness" isn't activism. You're going to have to actually **do** something.

I'm reading the ad Herennium (a first century BC book on rhetoric) and found this. I'm not an expert, but it strikes me as the earliest written description of Dunning–Kruger effect. Am I wrong?
