You could not create a fictional screenplay that describes a political disaster worse than what is actually happening in the USA now. A small comfort that I do not live there, but my condolences go out the normal and sane US citizens.

Electric trucks can be deployed for long haulage in the Aussie outback. Might take an hour or more to top up charge for a large battery, but truckies need lunch breaks.
That's interesting: Volvo are testing their electric truck as a water transporter 550km into rural Australia. To all my Aussie friends across the ditch, good luck for this upcoming fire season. Be as prepared as you can be. 💪

I'm not that much of a photographer, but I just happened to be in the right place and time to take these shots, early one evening a few weeks ago in Perth, Western Australia. Undoubtedly, the clearest and most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen.

It was a eerie day in Perth today (Friday). Couldn't smell the smoke, but hazy grey sky and so quite with very few birds singing.

It is not only the right thing to do to address the climate emergency, it just makes economic sense to quickly swap out coal stations with renewable sources and battery storage.

I have seen the posts of people exiting X, and I am happy to be joining a more educated, sensible and less hostile social media platform. Trying to find a meaningful activity to latch onto in retirement. Let's see where this takes me.
