The amount of work I’ve done & the school has done with them on how to read social cues and work on their executive functioning is something even neurotypical kids would benefit from.

As the parent to an autistic kid, I really hate the current framing in the media like it’s a curse or a death sentence. My kid is such an awesome person. They have friends. They do great in school. They’re engaged with the world around them. They are empathetic and kind. 1/
