Even more intriguing is that the official Instagram and Twitter accounts tailored for the Brazilian audience are significantly more engaging and aligned. Evidently, the marketing team - typically in charge of emails - should improve their game. Localization is the key, my friends!

A while back, I edited my team's glossary (we localize different entertainment products) and swapped out "multijogador", an outdated term, for "multiplayer" – in EN, the way every Brazilian gamer refers to it. However, in the email from the AAA FPS game, the term "Mapas no Multijogador" is there.

A while back, I edited my team's glossary (we localize different entertainment products) and swapped out "multijogador", an outdated term, for "multiplayer" – in EN, the way every Brazilian gamer refers to it. However, in the email from the AAA FPS game, the term "Mapas no Multijogador" is there.
Their emails consistently come across as literal translations of English. Anyone who speaks Portuguese can tell that "consiga infos" (get info) doesn't sound natural at all. Likewise, "obtenha XP" (get XP) feels off. Without proper localization, these terms and references sound disconnected.
