I'm an anime/manga nerd who collects figures and cosplays at conventions.
I love to learn about Japanese culture, language, history, and music.
I'm also a new student of Ryushin Shouchi Ryu Iaido.
I've been trying to chat irl with and write messages to my Japanese friend and I can't tell you how many times I am looking for a word or phrase to articulate what I mean and it comes up in Spanish. 😮‍💨 Tedious

She told the judge: “By the way—every version of the indictment that I don't like is off record. You’re not a real judge so it’s weird saying that but just letting you know.”

The ones with integrity are fleeing in droves, all he has left are incompetents.

At this point I'm firmly convinced he hired her 99% on looks and 1% on her happening to be a lawyer

Trust me, that agency is going to address a lot more than people may even expect it to.

To have a mayor who is acutely aware of *what works* to support those experiencing homelessness or mental illness is a huge deal.

He approaches these issues with compassion rather than the usual "lock em up"

I liked hearing the invitation for us to judge them at how they implement their policies. It's very "tell us how we're doing, so we can work to make it better for you."

I thought the drugs and gangs were all coming from Venezuela. Of course to them Mexico is the same thing.

This is trump's America, just get so scared of an innocent Hispanic lady at your doorstep that you have to fire through the door at her in the middle of the damn day. Big brave white man there with his big manly gun.

Are they going to say she's from Tren de Aragua, too?

And in the end, the record is there, the reporter is not the one who is biased; and if there were ethics concerns raised for review then you would have to be a special kind of incompetent to think you can get away with just...not giving them to the judge.
November 17, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Sure, of course. Does that generally happen more often than not is what we don't know, unless we were in the courtroom that many times as an attorney or a reporter. I'm not ignorant of how the process can be corrupt. It's just something idk if it happens all the time, since a judge isn't even there.

I mean why would they waste their time risking it and then get the whole case thrown out over a bad indictment. The only person that I could think of that's repeatedly privy to that many proceedings is the court reporter. I'm in school to become one, so unfortunately I can't tell you myself yet. Lol
