So this is going well for small businesses of the world
I’m just following-up on your order. Unfortunately, the tariff situation is causing lots of confusion and delays at the border. I had waited to send your order until it was confirmed that there would/would not be a Canadian tariff as there would be extra paperwork to submit and US Border Services had not communicated to carriers and businesses what they would require to accept packages and how tariffs would be charged. Once the 30 day extension came out on Monday afternoon, carriers began accepting orders again and I sent your order on Tuesday. Now it seems as though the US is requiring additional documentation showing that products are not coming from China due to the tariffs. This information is still unclear with carriers in Canada and not being communicated clearly from US Border Services what is required aside from a product code and country of origin field. Because this Chinese tariff information was not communicated with carriers before orders went out, this is causing lots of delays and unknowns. Your order is showing at our border town of Sweet Grass, Montana, where orders are typically received from USPS. Typical delivery is 3-5 business days, but this may take longer as I’ve read from fellow Canadian businesses that they may be individually inspecting all orders that did not have the “not made in China” documentation as it was not a known requirement the day the order was sent. I will be keeping my eye on your and others' orders as there is also a chance that they end up refusing all orders that do not have the paperwork they now require. Apologies, it’s been an incredibly confusing week for all Canadian businesses who send orders to the US. Please hang in there and know that I’ll make it right once we know what’s happening. I truly appreciate you supporting my shop :)
